Which images can I upload?

Any image your browser can open: JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF always work. Drag it into the box or click the box to pick it from your device. The image is read directly in your browser and is not uploaded to any server.

How do I get the exact color of a single point?

In Pick Color mode, move your mouse over the image: a magnifier shows you the individual pixels. Click, or tap on a smartphone, and you get the color in HEX, RGB and HSL, each with its own Copy button. Your last 10 colors stay in the history.

How does the automatic palette work?

With Extract Palette, the tool analyzes the image's pixels, groups similar shades and shows you up to 6 dominant colors, from most to least present. Click a color to copy its HEX code, or download the whole palette as a PNG image.

Do I need to sign up or install anything?

No. The color extractor is free, works in the browser on computers, tablets and smartphones and doesn't ask for an account. When you close the page, the image and the color history disappear: they aren't saved anywhere.
