Which formats can I crop?

PNG, JPEG, WebP, BMP and GIF, and in general any image your browser can open. Drag the file into the box or click the box to pick it. You save the result as PNG or JPEG, with adjustable quality starting at 92%.

How do I get a crop with exact proportions?

Choose a fixed aspect ratio from 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16 and 3:2, or leave it on Free. You can also type the crop's width and height in pixels: with the lock on, the proportions stay locked. You move the crop box with your mouse or your finger.

Does cropping lose quality?

No: the crop is saved at the original resolution, without resizing the pixels. PNG is lossless and keeps transparency; in JPEG, transparent areas turn white and the compression depends on the quality you choose. Before that you can also rotate by 90° and flip.

Are the images uploaded online?

No. Everything happens in your browser: the image never leaves your device or passes through any server. The tool is free, with no sign-up and no usage limits; the downloaded file keeps the original's name with _crop added.
